We have added another edible sensory activity to our collection.  Allowing children to explore using their sense of touch, sense of smell, sense of taste and sense of vision.  With these activities we are safe in the knowledge that if children have no allergies to the ingredients they are safe to explore in a range of ways.  Jelly has so many aspects which can develop a range of skills.  Children can also explore the jelly in its liquid form, then observe the differences once it has set.  They can then use their exploratory skills to find out about it themselves, looking at how it moves, feeling the textures etc.  A great activity for learners with Special Educational Needs who need a much more sensory approach to learning and for children in their Early Years who can learn so much activities such as these.

Putting the love in learning.
