Settlements Suitable Land Activity is a great KS2 resource to compliment the Settlements Powerpoint which is also available to download. After viewing the powerpoint presentation (which can be downloaded separately), children are encouraged to observe the different settlement area photographs and information within this resource, to put themselves into the minds of a Viking. Each area of land has different features, some are good whilst others are not so good. It is up to the Vikings to work out which land would be the best to settle on and why. Do you have what it takes to complete the Viking challenge to lead your people to a good place to settle? This is also a fantastic assessment tool to show the level of understanding on the subject.
