Communication All About Me Cards

Description

These communication – all about me cards can be used to initiate discussion with young children who may be experiencing difficulties with social emotional mental health.  Cards can be discussed and children can place them into ‘this is like me’ or ‘this is not like me’ areas.  This allows us to assess if a child recognises their behaviours and can discuss times when they think these behaviours might happen.  This gives children an opportunity to open up and communicate their needs.  It also allows adults to think about strategies which can be put in place to support children in addressing these behaviour struggles.
