Children can have a range of special educational needs, so when creating a display for children with visual impairments, the size of the text and the font are important, as well as the colours used and the positioning of posters. Children with other needs may be over stimulated by too much colour or fuss. It is therefore important to get to know the children you are working with, to make sure the displays are purposeful for them. We have started to create a range of display resources which can be placed in classrooms to stimulate learning and provide prompts to the children within the class, to help them to remember the things they are learning about.
