Year 1 Plants

Year 1 Plants topic forms part of the Science curriculum for KS1. Learners will observe plants growing, testing different scenarios to evidence what plants really do need to grow. Many different types of plants will be introduced allowing children to explore and name the different types of plants in real life situations in woodlands/grasslands. Children will also learn about growing seeds and the vocabulary used to name the basic features of plants. Many activities and stunning child friendly presentations are included to support learners in this exciting science topic.
