SEN Humanities
Humanities includes geography and history. It is important that an understanding of the environment and the world around us is understood. To recognise things in the local area and gain knowledge that not all places are the same. To be provided with experiences and ideas that the world is very different from place to place.
A historical knowledge that things that didn’t happen just now are in the past. To recognise that people and things change over time.
Here we have just began developing a range of geography and history resources to support children with special educational needs, working on those small steps of learning. Resources currently in development.
“Children are not statistics they are people with different abilities taking on a difficult world”
