Description

When learning about sounds this is a great activity involving puppets to help children to understand what sounds are, what they look like, what they sound like and how to say them. This game can be used to support young children in their speech and language, it can also be used as part of the phonics learning interventions to encourage children to listen to the sounds in words to work out the initial sounds. This activity can also be used as a listening activity where an adult says the actual name of the picture on the card and the child has to find it and give to the puppet to see if they can link words to pictures.
