Description
Nurture groups can be a great intervention strategy to support children who struggle with the social and emotional aspects of school/home. Children often behave in ways which may not always be positive, as a means of communicating an unmet need or to express their emotions or feelings. Nurture groups can help to build these social skills and give children space and time to develop the skills needed, to help with self regulation and understanding of self and others in very small, safe settings. This planning sheets have been created to help adults to prepare a series of sessions, to plan purposeful activities to support children with different needs in a very nurturing, supportive way.
